Take the first step toward becoming a data visualization expert  


See how much easier and faster it can be to communicate with data when using Tableau and techniques based in cognitive science. Get started exploring and analyzing your data quickly in Tableau, using visual cues that help you see the answers to the questions you have.

Using the foundational concepts and techniques learned in this class, you will be able to identify insights, highlight those insights, and share your findings in interactive dashboards that encourage your audience to engage with your data and ask deeper questions.

About the Instructor

Bretten Farrell is a proud former University of Oregon Duck, where he earned his B.S. in Business Administration with a minor in Economics. After graduation, he worked as a consultant and analyst at Aon, helping companies from small startups to Fortune 500s optimize their health and benefits in an era of rising healthcare costs.

His curiosity about technology and data led him to pursue an M.S. in Information Systems at the University of Washington. Today, he works as an Analytics Consultant, helping businesses make smarter decisions and streamline operations through technology. His work ranges from designing intuitive Tableau dashboards to enabling companies to uncover insights using natural language and generative AI.

Outside of work, Bretten is passionate about the outdoors, whether skiing fresh powder, hiking and backpacking through rugged trails, or simply enjoying time in nature


Participants who attend both days of this program and fulfill all requirements are eligible to earn a digital microcredential in Tableau Essentials.
